Heartless 1
Tonight I feast. How lovely a night is tonight that I feast. The question is what? Do you wonder? Dare I say, what food is it upon which I feast? The delecacy on which I feast is a feast like no other. Crawling among the shadows I emerge. The building's glowing signs cast deep shadows, perfect to hide and wait for a feast. A woman sits on a bench hummng a melodious tune, I can feel the vibrations in the air. She is surrounded by lightless trees. But her light is bright. Oh how delicious a bright light is. Emotions, savory emotions, bound by scrumptious memories.
Then I approach, sinking my claws deep inside the recesses of her chest and pull out my treasure. She screams, I care not, her light is in my hands, her heart. Then my antennae twitch, jerking my head in a direction. What a glorious sight falls upon my yellow eyes, so many heart-lights. The woman's light is consumed by my body and I sink into the shadows to continue my feast. I hope you are my next. I cannot wait to feast upon your heart.

Our master calls us forth. Our creator summons us. Where do we go now? The castle world with the flowers and the fountains. Such a beautiful place. Yes, even we can appreciate beauty but there is work to be done. Human lives to exterminate. Master says we are following someone. We do not care for their names, they are human. Only our master's name is the name we bother to remember. Ah the blue-haired Key master approaches. A worthy opponent for us who thirst for battle. Brothers die, torn to shreads, it matters not our master can replace us easily. We dash, we strike, we dodge, we lunge, we die. Still, she is victorious, we fade away but no matter, we are still here. We will come for you, we will kill you human, and we hope you struggle, fight, maim. We long for it, we long for the thrill of battle.

The Organization makes our decisions for us. Why don't we rebel? Why should we? They are Nobodies, just like us. Who else would understand what we do and why we do it? No one else would ever give us safe haven. It was that way for eight years. Before they established themselves, we Nobodies had nothing, nowhere to go. No world to call our own and without one we could not truly exist. I doubt we really should exist at all. Sometimes I feel so insubstantial compared with how I was when I was whole. It is for our benefit that they send us to our deaths. It is for hearts of our own that maybe we can be whole again. Farewell reader, and pray you never meet me.
