KADEChapter 2- Answer the question
"Today's a nice day isn't it?” echoed a voice from beneath a park bench.
"Nice, a word I find useless in this world," Kade responded.
"Why so grim?" the voice asked.
"This world sickens me more and more everyday," Kade began, "you see, I've been sitting here for two days straight thinking about what I still love in this world."
"What have you come up with?" the voice replied.
"My wife," Kade continued.
"But you killed her, so your going to have to explain what you mean," said the voice.
"I will," Kade replied, “She was the only thing in this world that kept me from wanting to tear it apart. I trusted her with every fiber of my being. I trusted her too much I guess I would say. I told her what I did and didn't like and expected for her to adapt to what I said instantly because I would do the sane for her. Any time she confessed doing something I was against, it rattled my soul and tore at my heart. I held her up to a light, like she was a flawless angel. Her light cast away all the darkness that surrounded my entirety. But anytime she displeased me, it felt like she was just another person in my life I had to contain myself around. What I am now is everything that I was scared I would become, everything she was scared that I would become. If she were still alive, she would be so disappointed. It would bring tears to her eyes, and I don't think my heart could take that. So that is why she is the only thing that I love on this planet. So without her this world is nothing, therefore I will make sure this world will fit my view of it. So, soon I will fill this world with nothingness, then eventually hell, and even heaven if it comes to pass."
"Getting a little ahead of yourself aren't you?" interrupted the voice, "I mean, why wage war on hell?"
Kade's eyes gleamed a pale red, and the park bench began rattling. The nearby trees started to decay and the rest of the foliage turned into ash. It even seemed like the moon changed a pale red as well. Kade’s body stared to glow with a thin but visible aura. Kade shot up from the bench like a bolt of lightning. He reached down and ripped the park bench from the ground. It went soaring through the air and into a tree. Animals scurried in all directions away from Kade. The voice was now revealed to be the demon that had given William Krieg his new name, the demon Kadeous Markrum. Kade stared at Kadeous with the intensity of a storm.
"YOU KNOW WHY," Kade said in a slightly elevated voice, "YOU POSSESED ME AND KILLED MY WIFE. YOU DIRTY HELL HOUND, COCK SUCKING, SON OF A b*tch!"
“I’m surprised you caught on so quickly, I thought that I had found a puppet that I could easily manipulate. But here you are all huffy and puffy about your late wife. I'm sorry it came to killing her but it was the only way to get this side of you out in the open. Just be glad you figured it out sooner rather than later."
Kade completely ignored the statement, and then turned his back to Kadeous. Kade looked upward at the sky. His eyes followed the cloud of terrified birds fleeing from the tree he had attacked earlier. He let out a heavy sigh and turned back to face Kadeous. His voice was sharp and his sentences were to the point.
"Tell me more about this deal I made with you," Kade demanded, “I would like to know if there is a way that I can kill you by causing the Apocalypse. That way I can kill two birds with one stone. You being the first bird and wife’s return from death’s touch being the second."
"In theory, I guess you could exact your revenge upon me. Although, I don’t think that your goals are reachable, I’ll try to help any way I can. So sit back down and I'll tell you everything you need to know."
Kade leered at the demon for a second. He then said, “Everything I need to know, or everything you want me to know?"
The demon stared at the tree the bench flew into. The bench came flying out of the tree and back to its original position.
"I think I’ll stand,” Kade said as his eyes connected with Kadeous’.
The area around Kade and Kadeous began to transform as the demon commenced his explanation.
A dark sphere surrounded both Kade and Kadeous. Nothing could be seen for several minutes. There was nothing except for the echoing of Kadeous’ breathing. Kade tried to see what was happening around him.. He looked upward and gazed into the lifeless shadows. His eyes then shined with an explosion of blood red light. The sky began to shatter into fragments of nothingness as the red moon appeared in the heavens. Its glow reached down into Kade’s soul and injected evil into his heart. The beating of his heart started rapidly increasing and then, in a single moment, it stopped. He inhaled sharply as if the life was being removed from his body. He fell to his knees and continued breathing heavily. His face shot downward as his hands slammed against a ground composed of emptiness. He felt like the surrounding gravity was multiplied three times. His body temperature grew at an unbelievable rate. Hot sweat rained from his pores. His clothes were soaked from head to toe. Kade looked upward directly into the moon’s light and screamed at the top of his lungs. The same tormenting feelings he felt from the fires of hell revisited his body. This time it was different, Kade welcomed the pain.
“What is this?” Kade shouted.
“This is the power that allows my kind to slip into your plane of existence,” Kadeous responded.
“What is happening to me?” Kade asked.
“Be silent and I will explain everything,” Kadeous replied, “listen to everything I say in your sleep and you will know what I know.”
Kade’s body collapsed and he fell into an unconscious state. Once again Kade was submerged into a dark void. Kade appeared inside a strange tunnel. The walls were made of what looked like flashing images. He began trying to reach out for the walls hoping to grab on and stop his confusing journey.
“I grow tired of this demon’s games,” Kade muttered to himself, “The only thing that he has done for me so far is open my eyes to the true nature of this world. I asked him a simple question and now I’m flying through some kind of mimetic tunnel. I hope he realizes this is only gonna make me want to destroy him even more. I can just imagine the day when I will tear the eyes out of that demon’s skull, and replace them with flaming spheres of agony. He will pay for what he did. I will make sure of that, nothing can change my motives. But in the meantime, I will play his games. Just until I can find his weakness.”
The tunnel flashed a blinding white. Kade shut his eyes hastily, almost as if the light burned him. A whirring sound surrounded him and he felt his body and mind separating from one another. He tumbled around the light until he appeared in a cloudy sky. His body seemed to be somewhat transparent. It felt like he was there but not there at the same time. Kade floated freely through the air as he tried to gain comprehension on the situation. He turned his attention to a black typhoon that rose from the ground and reached the sky. The air was filled with an evil presence other than his own. The clouds around him began to swirl around a single point. What was this occurrence? What had he gotten himself into.
